Font Choice - The font I chose for my magazine cover was lucida sans, I chose this font as it was basic and is easy for the target audience to read. The font is kept the same throughout the cover and the contents, this allows the reader not to get confused and is easier to understand. The font size is varied throughout, this is done because the bigger and more important headlines are needed to stand out therefore you give it larger font size.
Masthead Design - The design for the masthead is pretty simple but also quite big, this is done so the target audience are able to notice it straight away. The masthead is on the top left hand side of the page moving on to the right, this is done because you read things from left to right.
Language use of the main flash and two main sells - The main sell is kept short but draws the readers in to want to read it, this is done so the readers do not get bored reading a long headline, under the big writing for the main sell there is smaller writing explaining it more so the reader knows exactly what it's going to be based on. The two main sells are longer than the main sell and the language is more varied, the main flash and main sells are considered to be very important to the target audience therefore those who see the front cover will want to read it as it will have something to do with them.
Important Information - Other information which is seen on the front cover is the date and the issue number, this is kept on the bottom left side, this is something that won't draw the reader in therefore it is not important to be in the middle of the page in big writing but it is still in a place where the readers will be able to see it.
Contents page layout - For the contents I tried to keep the design/colours similar to the front cover, I've put important information on it such as the page numbers to some key pages and i've also made sure that there are quite a lot of interesting images for the readers to look at.
